Meet Our Practitioners

  • Amber

I am drawn to massage because it is a way to connect through source to others in a highly intuitive and deeply kinesthetic way. I believe we are all vessels for God’s light, and that it is our responsibility to maintain this vessel so that we are the most powerful conduit possible for the love and spirit that God flows through our being.

On a more earthly note, my style of massage would be considered Deep Tissue, Swedish Relax, Shiatsu, Thai, Acupressure. My approach is very slow, gentle and often still. I hold points to allow the body to relax and process and I work in to a deeper approach very slowly. Every body is different and I work by staying present in my body and letting intuition guide my movements, not thinking. My intention is to let every person stay present in their own body, and not become too conscious in their mind. The self awareness is in the body. This is where I aim to keep consciousness while I work and I use different physical approaches by way of intuition.

I have felt attuned to others feelings since I was very young. I have always loved others very deeply and I always will. For me, the occupation of massage is a natural convergence of the feelings I was blessed with as a child, the gift of spirit that God flows through me, and the skill of a calling I cultivated as an adult. I am very thankful for every person that I get the honor of laying my hands on, and I truly thank you if you allow me to do so. Thank you!

  • Gina

I became a massage therapist because I was drawn to healing work at a very young age wanting to help those in need. After completing Reiki certification at age 20, I was approached by a client who owned a Chiropractic/Massage Center to train as a massage therapist and work for her. I decided pursue that and was in the first graduating class at Fair Oaks Massage Institute and fell in love with it. I have been doing it for over 25 years as well as teaching Massage and Anatomy for the school. My specialty is providing Deep Relaxation Swedish & Deep Tissue techniques paired with Cranial Sacral Therapy or Reiki. This is an excellent combination for all over deep relaxation for the body mind and spirit. I am well versed in Myofascial Release and gentle Soft Tissue/ Scar Release for pain management while you are healing from strains or post ortho surgery. These are excellent Deep Tissue techniques that are not forceful but get great results. Because of my natural intuitive gifts I also have had the opportunity to work with many mentors in the spiritual realm studying Chakra/ Aura balancing which can come in handy when working with clients that are seeking deeper insights into their overall wellness. With a keen sixth sense my hands are here to provide relief, support, and guidance when needed to help clients move forward on their healing journey and maintenance needs.

  • Makela

Hello I am Makela a certified massage therapist. I was born and raised in Maui and moved to Pollock Pines as teenager. I was inspired to become a massage therapist because my mother has been in the industry 40+ years. I specialize in Lomi Lomi and focus on moving energy through the body to promote a state of complete physical, emotional, and spiritual balance. I have experience in other modalities including Swedish, Deep tissue, Hot stone, Trigger point. I look forward to providing you with a healing experience.

  • Mary

Hi, my name is Mary Woods.  I was born and raised in Somerset, CA, and I moved back to the Placerville area 17 years ago after studying dance and massage in Sacramento.

I was inspired to become a massage therapist after receiving massages that helped me recover from a car accident that I was in when I was 16, as well as treating the plantar fasciaitis and stress fracture in my fibula that I was suffering from at the time.

I practice a wide range of modalities including Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Hot Stone, and Prenatal Massage.  I give a deep, thorough massage, while being sensitive to the needs and preferences of each individual.

I also specialize in Craniosacral Therapy.  This practice facilitates the release of stress and tension in your body through balancing the flow of your cerebrospinal fluid.  It is relaxing and revitalizing.  Craniosacral Therapy can also assist clients in releasing past or present traumas from the body when needed.

Whether you are in pain, be it physical or emotional, or you just want to relax and unwind, I'm here to assist you.

I look forward to working with you, Mary.

  • Nicole

I began my journey with energy work, Reiki, and therapeutic touch several years ago after a life-altering car accident that required significant physical and emotional healing. Experiencing the profound benefits and healing power of these modalities ignited my passion to learn more.

As I explored Myofascial Release, my desire to help others heal deepened. Witnessing its transformative effects firsthand inspired me to expand my knowledge and skills.

With my compassionate and nurturing nature, I realized that massage therapy was the perfect fit for me. It allows me to blend my intuitive abilities with my love for helping people heal. I have a deep connection with my clients, intuitively sensing what their bodies need to heal.

I am honored to be a part of the Transformational Wellness Center. It’s a beautiful soul family dedicated to supporting others on their healing journey

  • Rhonda

I became a massage therapist because I became a single mom and needed to support my family. A friend recommended that I follow what I love. I knew I loved getting massages so I decided to go to massage school. I fell in love with it and have been doing it for over 21 years.

My specialty is deep tissue, trigger point and lymphatic drainage. I am also a reiki master.

I enjoy camping, hiking and gardening, but most of all, I love spending time with my kids and grandkids!

  • Kristi

Massage has been my life for 40 years, which still amazes me! I started in 1985 and have yet to look back. Having taught several modalities in a holistic. Massage school in Santa Fe, NM, and worldwide, I am still in awe of this work and the people I am Blessed to have on my table. I never take it for granted and feel it’s an honor to be a part of someone’s healing, big or small.

My massage work is intuitive & intentional. I customize each session to your needs with Swedish, Esalen, Lomi Lomi, Polarity, Orthobionomy, Reiki, Cranial-sacral, Lymphatic, Reflexology, and Stretches as needed. I also offer pregnancy massage. I offer deep tissue if necessary, but I have found that if we can bring you to a place of deep relaxation and allow the nervous system to calm down, the muscles will start letting go on their own. I don’t follow the adage “ no pain, no gain.” Some of the most profound work happens very subtly. I opened and ran a Healing Arts clinic in Santa Fe, NM, for 12 years, had a private practice in Manhattan I traveled to for 12 years, then moved to Kaua’i, where I worked at the Grand Hyatt Spa for nearly ten years. A few years ago, I moved to Placerville to be closer to my family and granddaughter, who have been a big part of my life. I am happy and grateful to join the Transformational Wellness team. My life pleasures are being with family, traveling, getting outdoors, reading, and living a reflective, more contemplative lifestyle.
